Occidental Grand Cozumel
Hotel Information: This Cozumel resort attracts families and couples for its natural setting, seclusion, and Mexican design, which includes decorative tiles, ceramics, pottery, and signature tiered fountains.
Amenity highlights: A "quiet pool" lies in the resort's center, and an activities pool overlooks the beach, which extends along water that remains calm in most weather and offers snorkeling opportunities. The resort provides snorkeling gear, kayaks, windsurfers, boogie boards, and Hobie Cat sailboats. A dive shop offers scuba-diving instruction and reef, sunken-ship, and night dives as well as Jet Skis, parasailing, and fishing (surcharges for all).
Insider tip: Avian choirs inhabit both forest and jungle. Performances occur at dawn and dusk, and the best place to hear them is on a 100-meter (109-yard) wood bridge that leads over and through the jungle separating the resort's two swimming pools.
The majority of meals and activities at this resort are included in the room rate; guests will not be charged extra for a majority of meals and activities (scroll up to the All-Inclusive Details section for more information).
